Steel is produced by electroslag smelting technology. It has a uniformly distributed carbide structure of the crystal lattice in the absence of harmful impurities. As a result of heat treatment and forging, the impact toughness of the material increases without loss of hardness. The presence of alloying additives in the chemical composition of steel ensures resistance to corrosion.

Field of application
Steel is recognized as a good material for serial production of long-range and tactical knives, the technical characteristics of which allow operation in difficult and extreme conditions. Blades made of N690 steel are able to withstand not only longitudinal, but also strong lateral loads when acting on bends and twists.

Description of the Zirikot tree breed

Zirikot wood is one of the most valuable and expensive species used in knifemaking. Usually, this wood is used for inlaying small valuable exclusive products such as watch bezels, brooch rings, etc. This is due to the fact that, in addition to its beautiful appearance, this wood keeps its shape well under changes in external conditions (changes in temperature, humidity, etc.). Of course, Zirikote is great for making knife handles, but not many craftsmen can get enough material for a whole handle, usually using Zirikote as small elements and in very rare cases making the main part of the handle from this beautiful wood.
The botanical name of Zirikote is Cordia dodecandra. This plant belongs to the Cordiaceae family of the Cordia genus. The halo of tree growth is quite wide - from the tropical and subtropical forests of Central America, the islands of the Caribbean Sea, Mexico and Cuba to Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize. Some trees of the Zirikot species grow even in Africa. other names of this tree: Siricote, Siricote, Zircote, Ziracote, Cordia twelve thousand, Trees of Yucatan, etc.
